I feel this.

Having a writer's drought sucks.

Imagine one that lasts for 20 years, then all at once, it opens up and rains like a flood.

The only advice I can give is to relax and don't force it. When it's time, the skies will open up, and a deluge will try to drown you.

That sounds intense. A light rain would be fine. Lol.

Kind of to do with your Stack. Try the video game Sunless Skies. It’s class.

Just what I needed, more temptations. 😂

Too many video games. Too little time.

Just be kind. I find writing is somewhat cyclic. Sometimes there are no words. Sometimes there are lots of words. Sometimes we are sick and our energy is needed elsewhere. I find that honouring the cycles within me helps with my writing.

I hope you feel better soon.

I love this! I think in every profession there are creative “blocks.” Writers write about it and give the rest of the world insight on how to move beyond. The advice about being kind is something that took me a long time to put into practice, it works. Thanks for sharing and reminding the world that it’s okay.

Some days are like that. Sometimes they last a year.
